Memorial Day 2009

American Legion Post 48 and VFW Post 4620 honored the veterans at Kuyper Memorial Cemetary on Memorial Day. 1st Vice Commander Jim LaPlante was the master of Ceremonies for the event and Post Commander Lowell Long was the speaker. A roll call of the veterans at the cemetary in Chinook was done by members of the American Legion and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars. Wreaths were placed at the monument by the VFW Auxiliary and the Blaine County Sheriff's Department provided the Honor Guard. Taps was played by Raymon Reid, Commander of the VFW Post 4620.
